Conservatory Restaurant
The Panhans Hotel on the Semmering with its extraordinary charm and its stylish contemporary atmosphere invites you to indulge in culinary delicacies in our A la carte restaurant. The strict critics of the Gault Millau awarded the Conservatory Restaurant one toque.
Chef Alfred Holzfeind who has worked on luxurious cruise
liners and overseas for more than twenty years continues our delicate cuisine in
the Panhans Hotel and takes particular care of local products of high quality,
which he combines with his international experience to create refined
dishes.
When composing menus Chef attaches great importance to
the local character of basic ingredients. Specialities and goods stemming from regional
productions complement the diverse range of dishes.
Chef Alfred Holzfeind allows our guests some insight into his specialities and for that he has arranged the following Christmas menu:
- Oyster in three kinds
- Cappuccino of chestnuts
- Roasted breast of duck with root vegetables
- Poppy-seed mousse on carpaccio of figs
An excursion – led by the sommelier – into the
wine cellar is a never-ending
discovery journey through countries, regions, tiers, varieties and
vintages. The main focus of our wine list lies on Austrian wines
compared to the variety of foreign wines.
In order to present our guests with
the treasures of the world of wines
we regularly offer wine tasting as well as presentation
sessions. Winegrowers are invited to these sessions to
present their wines in person.
According to the occasion our chef composes a
degustation menu which complements these events.
Opening times of
the Conservatory Restaurant: daily from 12.00 to 2.00 pm and from 6.30
pm to 9.30 pm.
